Kauai (I)

As some of you might know I decided to spend thanksgiving on Kauai with my roommate.

We arrived in Lihue at 6 am, picked up our car and started with our program for day one which brought us to the south of the island.

Our day started with watching the sunrise at a lookout near Eleele and then we drove to the swinging bridge.

Later we decided to take a look at the “glass beach” since it was not that far away. As always on Kauai we were accompanied by some chicken wherever we went ;)

Since “life begins after coffee” we decided to drive by the Kauai Coffee Company and see where our beloved hot beverage comes from. We strolled through the coffee plantation, looked at how they turn their coffee beans into coffee and later we tried 27 (!!) different kinds of coffee.

After this energy kick we went to the spouting horn in Poipu....

... and to the Wailua - and the Opaeka’a Falls.

We stayed in Kapa’a at the Kauai Beach House Hostel and that’s where we headed after the last waterfall.
